           Terhathum Multiple Campus (TEMC), situated in Aathrai Rural Municipality-6, Chuhandada, Tehrathum, is a constituent campus of Tribhuvan University. It holds the distinction of being the sole government-recognized constituent campus in four districts (Terhathum, Taplejung, Panchathar, and Sangkhuwasava) within the Koshi Province, eastern region of Nepal. Located in the hilly region of Terhathum district within the Koshi Zone, the campus resides in the Aathrai Area, renowned for its educational, political, cultural, and historical significance. Originally established on Jestha 21, 2017 BS, as Birendra Inter College, Terhathum Multiple Campus (TEMC) received permanent recognition on Ashoj 3, 2018 BS. Later, in 2035 Bhadra, the campus changed its name to Terhathum Campus.
              TEMC is situated approximately 500 meters away from the recently constructed Puspalal Lok Marga. It is centrally located amidst the districts of Taplejung, Panchthar, Sankhuwasabha, and Terhathum, collectively known as the Aathrai Area. Despite the presence of ethnic and cultural diversity, the area is characterized by a harmonious blend of cultures and social cohesion. The majority of the local population faces economic challenges, with most falling into the lower-income bracket, while some belong to the middle class.
The campus offers two faculties at the bachelor's level: Education and Humanities and Social Sciences. Under the Education Faculty, there are four- year and one-year B.Ed. programs specializing in English Education, Nepali Education, Mathematics Education, Population Education, and Health and Physical Education. The Humanities faculty comprises seven major subjects: English, Nepali, Mathematics, Population, Political Science, Economics, and History. At the master's level, Population Studies is offered under the faculty
of Humanities and Social Sciences. Currently, there are approximately 250 students enrolled across all subjects. The campus is actively progressing towards quality assurance and is in the process of preparing a five-year strategic plan (2023-2027) to enhance higher education. The Campus ensures ample scholarship and freeship programs for students. It is staffed with 17 dedicated teachers and 8 efficient administrators, fostering a conducive environment for learning and growth.
